These Terms of Use set out the rules for using LyricsFinder. By visiting the site or running a search, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. We have kept the language as plain as we can, but this is still the agreement between you and us.

What the service does

LyricsFinder helps you find a song from the words you remember. It searches lyrics pages published elsewhere on the web, shows the matches, plays short song previews, and links out to full lyrics and videos. The service is offered for personal, non-commercial use, to help you identify and enjoy music.

Using the site responsibly

You agree to use LyricsFinder in lawful ways and not to misuse it. In particular, you will not:

• Scrape, copy, or harvest the site in bulk, or hit it with automated requests that strain the service.
• Try to break, probe, or get around the security of the site or the services behind it.
• Use the site to infringe copyright, send spam, or carry out anything illegal.
• Misrepresent who you are, or submit messages meant to deceive or harm.
• Resell or commercially exploit the results without our written permission.

Lyrics and intellectual property

Song lyrics are owned by their writers, publishers, and rights holders. We do not own them, and we do not host them. The search points you to lyrics pages run by third parties, and those pages carry their own rights and terms. Song titles, artwork, and previews shown next to results belong to the artists, labels, and the providers we work with, such as Apple. The LyricsFinder name, look, and original text on this site belong to us.

Third-party content and links

Results, previews, and videos come from outside services, and the site is full of links to pages we do not control. We do not endorse those pages and we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. When you follow a link or play a video, the terms and policies of that other service apply. If you believe a linked page hosts infringing material, raise it with that site, and tell us as well through the contact page so we can review the result.

Reporting problems and takedowns

If a result is wrong, or if you hold rights to material and want a result removed from our index, use the contact page or the Report issue button. Give us enough detail to find the item, and we will look into it promptly. We aim to be a good neighbor to rights holders and to the sites we link to.

Availability and changes

We offer the site as it is and as it is available. We may change, pause, or retire features at any time, and the search depends on outside services that can change without notice. We do not promise that the site will always be online, that every result will be correct, or that previews will play for every track. Sometimes a chart will be empty for a country, or a preview will be missing, and that is part of relying on live data from others.

No warranty

The site and everything on it are provided without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. That includes any implied promise that results are accurate, that the service fits a particular purpose, or that it will run free of errors. You use LyricsFinder at your own discretion and risk.

Limitation of liability

The service is free

LyricsFinder is free to use, and ads help keep it that way. We do not charge for searches, and we will not ask for payment details to run one. If that ever changes, the terms here will change first, and you will see it before anything else.

Messages you send us

When you send a message through the contact form or the Report issue button, you confirm that what you submit is your own or that you have the right to share it, and that it is not unlawful or abusive. We may use a report to fix a problem, improve the site, or contact a third party about a result, though we will not publish your message or your email. Do not send confidential information you would not want stored in an email inbox.

Indemnity

You agree to cover us for claims, losses, and costs that arise from your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms. This is standard for a free service, and it simply means that when your actions cause us a legal problem, the responsibility rests with you.

Severability and the whole agreement

If any part of these terms is found invalid, that part is trimmed back or removed and the rest keeps working. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, make up the whole agreement between you and LyricsFinder about your use of the site, and they replace any earlier understanding on the same subject.

Changes to these terms
